Accommodation
There are five individual, named cottages on site, Lavender, Daisy, Rose, Azalea and Gardenia, designed for privacy and comfort.
The cottages are fully self-contained and come with king-size (or king single) beds, modern bathrooms, full kitchen facilities, laundry, and a private balcony overlooking the valley.
Many of the finishes are premium (sun-dried linen, spa-toiletries, etc.) and the décor blends modern comfort with the island’s relaxed charm.
Location & History
The location is excellent for both tranquillity and convenience: while it feels tucked away in greenery, it is still only a short walk (about 7 minutes) from the Burnt Pine shopping precinct with cafés, restaurants and shops.
It’s also a short drive to beautiful beaches like Emily Bay and to heritage sites.
The property has a rich island story: the homestead formerly known as “Redleaf” dates back to around 1870. It has served various roles including as one of the earliest guest-houses on the island, an orchard site that supplied the Red Cross during WWII, a private school, and later as a stopover for Qantas aircrew.
That heritage adds a layer of character to the stay (while the cottages themselves are modern and updated).
